How to play CROSSNET in Canada
What is CROSSNET?
You were out for a walk and passing through a park, or maybe you were lounging on a beach, or perhaps even sitting on the couch watching ESPN. Regardless of where you were, you may have noticed a group of people playing what looks like volleyball but with TWO nets?!
Welcome to CROSSNET, the new sport that brings together the classic playground game of four square with the fun and excitement of volleyball! The court is your square, so don’t let the ball drop in it. Players score when they end a play on another player while in the king square (#4), the player that misplayed goes back to the start (square 1) while all other players move up. The first to score 11 points with a two point margin wins!
To put the ball in play, the player in square four serves to the player in square 2 who then can play the ball to any court. The play ends when:
A player hits the ball out of bounds
The ball lands in a player’s square
A player hits the ball more than once in a row (double-hit)
